Bolton Castle is a fabulous castle. The smell in the castle and the overall atmosphere is like going back in time. Plenty to see and enjoy. The drive to the castle and the first view of it is a 'wow look at that'.
We absolutely would recommend a visit.
On certain days there is an archery exhibition and or a Falconry exhibition. At the back of the carpark is a small copse where wild boar can be viewed.
Check online for opening days first though.
